Kevin Hartzog is a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner providing exceptional care to children and adults throughout the Sarasota and Tampa Bay Area. Originally from St. Petersburg, Fla, he received his undergraduate degree from Clarke University in Dubuque IA. He returned to Florida and earned his Master of Science in Nursing from The University of Tampa and is licensed as a Family Nurse Practitioner, seeing patients across the lifespan.

Kevin has broad experience across family practice, home health, orthopedics, and post-acute rehab. His main point of emphasis is health promotion, disease prevention, health education, and counseling. He wants his patients to be empowered to make wise health and lifestyle choices. The Direct Primary Care (DPC) Model allows for increased access to your provider, which in turn restores the patient-to-provider relationship. Kevin’s focus is to spend time with his patient’s in order to better understand their health and wellness goals, without time constraints.

Kevin enjoys sports and has an interest in physical fitness. Through this interest, in addition to experiences within his career, he has come to appreciate the concept of addressing all three prongs of healthcare; the physical body, mental health, and spirituality, in order to achieve optimal health and wellness. 

In his spare time, Kevin enjoys traveling with his wife, Dr. Kay and spending quality time with family.
